ABOUT US
Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC) is an engineering college located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. The college is affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University, Gautam Buddha Nagar .[1] The college was affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow until 2010 when the university was bifurcated and the college came under the jurisdiction of the present university.
The college is situated on the 27th KM Milestone, on the Delhi-Hapur bypass, in a suburban area.
The college was established in 1998 and runs B.Tech., M.Tech. and MCA courses. The Director of the college is Dr. R. K. Agarwal.
The college has the distinction of being the only engineering college in the state of U.P. to have received approval from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), government of India, for the establishment of a Centre of Relevance and Excellence (CORE) in the field of Automation and Robotics. The program with an outlay of about Rs. 9.4 Cr envisages a unique partnership between AKGEC and seven international industries to promote research, consultancy, project development and training in the emerging technological field of Automation and Robotics.
The college has also set up an Industrial Robotic Training Centre in collaboration with Kuka Robotics of Germany. The centre provides internationally valid certification for its Basic, Advanced and Expert level training programmes. The college is also the first institution in UP to establish a virtual lab for remote experimentation in collaboration with IIT, Delhi.
